One of the biggest communities in the county and one of the least well served. Spread out, some distance from a hospital, and full of families managing far more at home than anyone outside realises.
Yes. Chaparral is within our service area. Personal Touch Home Care provides non-medical in-home care there — personal care, meals, medication reminders, respite, overnight shifts and continuous 24-hour care.
Chaparral is large, spread out and a real drive from the hospitals in Las Cruces or El Paso. That distance changes the calculation on almost everything: a fall matters more, a missed medication matters more, and a night with nobody in the house matters a great deal more.
It is also a community where a lot of caregiving is invisible. Families here absorb an enormous amount before anyone considers calling an agency, often because they assume it is unaffordable or that nobody comes out this far.
The honest starting point is usually the free assessment. It costs nothing, there is no obligation, and it will at minimum tell you what level of help the situation actually calls for. If the answer is that you need less than you feared, that is a good afternoon's work.
Throughout Chaparral:
We do. Tell us the days and hours you need and we will tell you plainly what we can staff reliably rather than agreeing to a schedule we cannot hold.
Often yes, if those hours are placed where the pressure actually is — usually mornings for bathing and medication, or nights. We will tell you where the hours do the most good.
Yes. Given the distance to a hospital, overnight coverage carries more weight here than it does in town.
Yes, and we match language at assignment.
Personal Touch Home Care provides non-medical in-home care. Our caregivers assist with daily living, safety and companionship. They do not provide nursing, wound care, injections, physical therapy or any service requiring a licensed clinician. If that is what is needed, it is a home health agency, and we will tell you so.
Call and describe what is happening at home. We will tell you what we can do, what we cannot, and what it would take.
