Truth or Consequences and the villages around it are outside our normal service area. We will consider them case by case, and we would rather say that plainly than let you find out after you have made plans.
Sometimes. Truth or Consequences, Elephant Butte, Williamsburg, Garfield, Salem and Arrey sit beyond Personal Touch Home Care's routine Doña Ana County service area. Care there is arranged case by case, generally as longer or continuous shifts rather than short daily visits, and we will tell you honestly on the first call whether we can staff it.
This page exists because we would rather be straight with you than rank for a town and then disappoint you.
Truth or Consequences is a long drive from our office in Las Cruces. Short daily visits are not realistic at that distance — a caregiver would spend more time on the road than in the house, and the schedule would not survive contact with a flat tyre or a sick day.
What can work is a longer arrangement: continuous care, extended shifts, or a defined block of days. If that is the shape of what you need, call and ask. Netty has said she will travel this far when the arrangement makes sense.
If we cannot serve you properly, we will say so on the first call and, where we can, point you toward somebody closer. That is a better outcome for your family than a schedule that collapses in three weeks.
What can realistically be arranged this far out:
Case by case, not as a standard service area. Call and describe what you need. If it is a longer or continuous arrangement, there is a real chance we can help. If it is an hour a day, we will tell you honestly that it is not realistic from Las Cruces.
Because a home care schedule that cannot be sustained is worse than none. You would build your family's week around it and then it would start getting cancelled. We would rather lose the enquiry than do that to you.
Same answer — possible as part of a longer arrangement, worth a phone call. Hatch and Rincon, further south, are within the area Netty has confirmed she covers routinely.
Where the arrangement looks workable, yes. If we can already tell it is not, we will save you the visit and say so on the phone.
Personal Touch Home Care provides non-medical in-home care. Our caregivers assist with daily living, safety and companionship. They do not provide nursing, wound care, injections, physical therapy or any service requiring a licensed clinician. If that is what is needed, it is a home health agency, and we will tell you so.
